Shaygan Kheradpir’s appointment As CEO good for the Coriant.

Following the appointment of Shaygan Kheradpir as the new CEO of the optical transport vendor, Coriant as a new lease of life. Shaygan is taking over from Pat DiPieto who has made a return to his former employer the Marlin Equity Partners as the operating partner. Coriant is a private company that was built from an amalgamation of the optical unit of Nokia, Tellabs, and part of Sycamore Networks. As a strategy, the Coriant is aiming at the Metro Edge, Softbank.

To the vendor, the Kheradpir appointment is aware of the new role as the CEO of the firm since he has been working with the Coriant’s senior management since the beginning of 2016 as the Operating Executive to Marlin Equity Partners. Backed by over 28 years of executive experience in financial service industries, telecom, and technology Kheradpir best suit the Coriant CEO position.

His experience, strategic insight and guidance on the focused execution of operation activities are very crucial to the growth and building the competitive advantage to the Coriant. The outgoing CEO, DiPieto, pointed out that the Coriant firm is honored to have a person of Kheradpir caliber as the CEO, and the management is fully confident in his abilities to bring growth at Coriant.

Shaygan Kheradpir

Shaygan Kheradpir is serving as both the CEO and chairperson of the board of directors of Coriant. He joins the firm with a proven supply track record of innovative networking solutions for top network operations in more than 100 countries. Shaygan started his career at GTE Corporation as the Verizon’s EVP & Chief Officer and a member of the Executive leadership group. In the executive team, Kheradpir initiated the modernization of the system, innovation, and launched product startups. From GTE Corporation, Kheradpir joined Barclays Bank as the chief operation, Technology Officer, and the member of the bank’s Executive Committee.

While at Barclays, Shaygan initiated the TRANSFORM program that expanded the bank into 50 countries with 150 thousand employees. It is this role that led Kheradpir to climb the leadership ladder into the Jupiter Network’s CEO. At the Jupiter Network, He developed an integrated operating plan and implemented the market growth strategies by acquiring the Cloud& High IQ Networking.

Kheradpir is a holder of Ph.D., master’s and bachelor’s in Engineering from Cornell University. Besides, he has to his credit numerous patents from telecom, media, and payments.
